             Nowadays many non – traditional types of education become more and more popular. Among them is the Multi-age home schooling program. According to this program the pupil can study at home on the schedule, which was arranged especially for him. This schedule takes into account the preferred learning stile of the pupil and the most convenient time for the studying. 

            There are some essential requirements for those people which want to study individually at home. The legal terms of such type of education are described below. 

The programs of home – schooling are legal in all states of the United States of America, but every state has its own terms, conditions and rules. The best method to learn these rules is to apply for the local public school for the essential and truthfully information. 

          In the most of the states the parents have to write the application letter to the public school with the request to accept the pupil to the educational program. The parents are also required to be present on the first organization lessons with the aim to prepare the child to the studying. Some of the states control the home – schooling very strict and even require to send the copy of the studying plan to the local authorities. The studying can be started only after the approval received from the state representative.  

           Some states recommend to take some prior tests before the studying to determine the level of knowledge. But this requirement is not essential and depends on the decision of the local authorities. It is better to take these tests, because the results help to form the most appropriate lessons plan and to find the best individual approach for the pupil. 

One more thing which is different in the different states is the requirements for the graduation. Each state have own conditions and restrictions.
