Home- School Schedule
November 15th, 2007 by adminSome pupils and students do not have an opportunity to attend colleges regularly because of different reasons like physical disability or work. In this case they can choose home school education.
Since child is home-schooled, careful thought should to be given not only to home school schedule, but the family schedule as well. Also it is important to make sure that lesson plan coincides well with learning calendar. After careful considering home school calendar integrated with the family calendar, it becomes obvious that the traditional school year calendar of end of summer through early spring can not be the most advantageous.
One of the advantages of the home school year is that the home school day does not essentially need to start at certain time early in the morning and it is not necessary to go to school whether the weather is good or bad, or health condition is not very good. There is no severe time schedule that is necessary to adhere to as is the case in public schools.
When planning the lessons for home studying it is necessary to take into cautious consideration the child’s learning style and resolve what will work best. Having education at home means having more spare time to make own plans for vacations or weekends. While planning a home school yearly schedule is a brilliant idea, remember to permit for flexibility in the schedule. Any school year, especially if it is carries out at home will have the requirement for unforeseen breaks and absences. There is nothing to worry about as the missed hours and days will be covered when you study at home. With the passing of the year, if you have kept fine records and used your lesson plan as the guide you will see that the child is indeed learning during the whole period.
